We are very proud of our Principal, Mr France, who will be graduating with his Post Graduate Diploma next week.

We had a special surprise assembly and all of the students and teachers wore Mortar Boards. Mr France was very surprised!

Book character dress up day

The last day of term was celebrated by a dress up day. We had a huge range of book characters arrive at Port Ahuriri School. All of the clases made a great effort and looked fantastic!

Room 1's caterpillars and tadpoles

Room 1 has been lucky enough to have Bella's mum bring in some caterpillars and tadpoles for us to keep.

We have 4 tadpoles and we are watching them turn into frogs. One of them has back legs so we think it won't be long now!

We have had six caterpillars turn into butterflies. Four have been girls and 2 have been boys. We have still got five chrysalis' in room one.

Art Deco at Port Ahuriri

We celebrated Art Deco weekend by having a dress up day at school. We enjoyed sharing our costumes and doing activities from the 1930s during whole school Discovery Time.
